About

In my thirty plus years, there is only one thing that I have ever been truly addicted to–books. I am a voracious reader, often consuming 100 book (or more) a year. I’m the type of girl that rescues books from the trash bin when others clean out their shelves; I go to library sales and bring home new titles by the box; and I love Amazon’s one-click option. I know that I currently have more books than I can ever read but I can’t seem to stop. For me there is nothing better than kicking back with a tasty beverage and a good book. Which leads me to the purpose of this blog. I want to share all the great books I find with others as well as give my opinions on the things I read.

One thing that I would like everyone to know is that I spent most of my 6+ years in college analyzing literature. Obviously, this had a profound effect on the way I view books. I have been told that I’m a bit of a book snob and that I need to learn to read for enjoyment. The thing is that I do read for enjoyment but I have a hard time enjoying a story that is poorly written. I need a great story and vivid characters to keep me interested as well as a decent mastery of English vocabulary and grammar.

I will confess that most of what I read is fiction, non-fiction just doesn’t hold my interest for long. But within the fiction category, I  read a wide variety genres: historical, paranormal, romance, mystery, sci-fi, fantasy… the list goes on forever. I also enjoy everything books regardless of their intended audience-children, young/new adult, or adult-there are wonderful books written for every reading level so you will probably see a wide variety here but be forewarned–I really have a soft spot for the paranormal.

Some of the books you will find on my review list were given to me in exchange for an honest review, some I have won through various drawings, and some I have bought out right. I will give my honest opinion on what I read and I will explain my thoughts to the best of my abilities.

Well, my TBR pile isn’t going to read itself so I’m off for now. Check back and see what I’m reading and get reviews.

    Hello book blogger or promoter!
I’m JoAnna Grace, author and partner at Y&R PR. You have featured me (or one of my author friends) in the past, so I’m reaching out to you first.
Y&R PR a social media management and author promotion company. One of the many services we offer our clients is booking blog stops twice a month and tours/blitzes around their release dates. We are not a “blog tour company”- as in open to the public, this is a service we offer to our Premium clients.
Each month, Y&R sends out a newsletter/solicitation for bloggers to book our authors during the month. This may be a random stop, or part of a blog tour for their newest release. Our authors cover a wide range of genres but have the common thread of romance/romantic elements.
In return, we want to be notified if you have any promotions coming up where we can book our clients. Please feel free to add yrprbloggers@gmail.com to your subscription list!
We would love to have you on our team and look forward to promoting your blog as well!
